Judas Priest: British Steel - this album enabled Priest to turn the corner as a forerunner of classic metal, please see my "Past & Present Classics" for this CD
Kiss: Alive - Kiss at their peak, musically & live, IMHO
Iron Maiden: Powerslave -Iron Maiden's very best studio release
Boston: Boston - just about every song is a highlight
Jethro Tull: Aqualung - as a Tull fan, this pick may sound cliché, but who could argue over how great it is?
Symphony X: Divine Wings Of Tragedy - even my kids love this classic example of great prog metal
Led Zeppelin : IV - Black Dog, Rock & Roll, Stairway, Misty Mountain Hop, not only does this album really rock, it is very diverse for only 8 songs
Deep Purple: Machine Head - incredibly, "Smoke On The Water" is probably the 5th best song on this album
Soundgarden: Superunknown - musically the best thing to come out of Seattle IMO
Beatles: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - don't stand up and walk out on me just yet (har har), this album shattered the mold of the 10 song - 2 minute and 45 second song format (with one month record-to-release) by being the first concept album, and took an incredible (for its time) 8 months to produce
