  • Judas Priest - Unleashed In The East - This was the CD that introduced me to Judas Priest music, and I was blown away by it. The blistering lead work of KK and Glen combined with Les Binks battering ram drumming made the singer Rob Halford all the more spectacular. I was hooked from there.

  • WASP - (self-titled) - Blackie Lawless to me was one of the quintessential entertainers in Metal. This introduction to the sleezier side of the 80's glam movement had enough hooks and vibe to make me a fan of this band for the next 20 years.

  • Marillion - Misplaced Childhood - Work of genius. Epic poetry placed to excellent prog-music. Fish was at his best on this work. While I still love Marillion, the band has changed and this CD is timeless.

  • KISS - Alive 2 - When I was a young drummer, I played this record until the grooves no longer functioned. It captured the feel of KISS live in concert and started me on a lifelong financial donation plan to the Gene Simmons Foundation.

  • Beatles - 1 - Like my peers, I am not fond of compilations, but this gives me the ability to have all my great Beatle tracks in one place.

  • Motley Crue - Shout At The Devil - Raunch pure and simple. Love this CD.

  • Rush - Chronicles - A great one for me to have a lot of Rush in one easy place. Yay.

  • HIM - Razorblade Romance - Goth metal from Finland. Moody, passionate, creative. Ville Vallo made me a fan of the band with this release.
