  • Deep Purple-Live in Japan - My favorite live album as well as Peter Pardo's. The 3 CD set that compiles Purple's 3 nights in Japan in August of 1972 is an absolute must

  • Pink Floyd-Meddle - Any Floyd album will do, but Meddle seems to get played the most.

  • Genesis-Foxtrot - Man, I hate to copy my editor but this is my favorite Genesis album too. So quaint, beautiful and poetic. A Trick of the Tail is a close second for me.

  • Judas Priest-Stained Class - This one is chock full of evil riffs, Halford's incredible vocal range and eerie lyrics. Most Priest albums are great, but there's something about this one.

  • Savatage-Streets - I'm a relatively new 'Tage fan and this rock opera is one of the most emotional albums, metal or otherwise, I've ever heard.

  • Yes-Tales From Topographic Oceans - I'm fascinated by Yes' most hated album. It's not perfect and it may not be my favorite Yes record, but I never get tired of it.

  • Black Sabbath-Paranoid - The best riffs ever put to vinyl. Period. They have many, many essential classics and I'm probably one of the few fans who actually loves the Tony Martin era. But if I had to pick one, this would be it.

  • Marillion-Misplaced Childhood - I can relate all too well to Fish's lyrics and this is a sentimental favorite. Besides, hasn't everyone had a Kayleigh at one time or another?

  • Nick Drake-Fruit Tree - I can cheat here. All of Drake's recorded output in one beautiful box. Some of the saddest and most haunting songs you'll ever hear. So intimate, so heartbreaking.

  • Roxy Music-Sirens - You can't go wrong with any Roxy Music in your collection. I'm torn between this one and Manifesto. Art rock you can dance to.

  • Hits: 3959
