Go Well, Diamond Heart is already album 15 I think for Mostly Autumn, and the first with a new vocalist. At the beginning of 2010 it became clear that Heather Findlay would start a career of her own in being a Mum and solo singer.
The lead vocals have been taken over by the backing vocalist Olivia Sparnen, and I must say she does a wonderful job.
Now with the changing of the lead vocals the music has slightly changed as well, it all is just a little heavier than before, more of distortion in the guitar, more reverb. As a whole there seems to be a bit more volume in this recording. As always Bryan Josh takes care of the male vocal parts and continues to write most of the material for this album.
Currently Mostly Autumn is touring to promote their newest release. Be sure not to miss the concerts with the new lead vocalist. With a background of being a former Floyd coverband, or rather Floydlike band, they sure have done every effort in creating an Autumnly sound. I dare say this may well be their best effort in creating this. A little less smooth, but very well produced indeed
Try the album if you do like the Neo prog sound, and you will not be disappointed.
