Dusted Angel: Earth Sick Mind

Clifford Dinsmore(Gargantula),Bill Torgerson, Eric Fieber,Scott Stevens and Elliot Young together form Dusted Angel, A band from sunny California, established in 2008. Two years in the running and their debut EP sees the light of day.

The music Is described by Dusted Angel themselves as Doom rock. Well, calling it doom rock might be something for real. The first song on this EP immediately recalls early Black Sabbath influences going in the direction of Hawkwind or Motorhead are also very much present.

What does it sound like, try to imagine the riffs of the seventies rockers like the afore mentioned Black Sabbath, guitar sounds ala Mr Iommi. Vocals sounding as one Lemmy of Motorhead fame without the whiskeytone underneath. Put in some Type 'o'negative doom and there we have Dusted Angel.

Looking at the bands mentioned you may get a drift what the music is about, heavy dark rockers. Heavy on the bass. Straight forward but very good. I personally have nothing against calling this Doom Rock. Sure captures what you can expect.

Nearly forgot the boys of Dusted Angel call this an EP although it is 39 minutes in length. In the old ages pretty neat in length for an album. Even for an EP more than average in length, good enjoyable music. Great Debut guys.
