Headhunter D.C.: God's Spreading Cancer…

71 minutes is a hell of a long time for a single album! You better like this music or you'll find yourself trying to hide under the carpet, because this is scary blasphemy that was not intended for pussies!

Headhunter D.C. is an American five piece band and what they have recorded here, for our pleasure, is a very wicked opus. Fifteen songs, including a cover and three live performances. God's Spreading Cancer… is an explosive cocktail made of blackened death metal. You better watch your speakers, volume and hide the cat if you have one! Yes, this is a very powerful album that will kick your seating device. Granted, the last tracks, the live ones, are rawer and less interesting than the actual studio work. Nonetheless, it remains a solid blow in the Christianity's jaw. Fat bass, pummeling /acrobatic drumming (a master pounder that is), twisted solos and a truly wicked vocalist are your hosts throughout this recording. The vocals have a certain theatrical edge in them, especially when they switch to a beastie/Satanic style, which is frequent on this CD. I found the guitar work slightly discreet, while offering a superb performance. The musicianship is excellent, and that includes every musician that was involved on this album. Even if they fell into a set pattern in many places, the guys have composed quite a few good songs of wickedness like: "God is Dead", "Black Miracle", "Inner Demons Rise!" and my favorite, the title track.

This album sounds as wicked as its cover art suggests.
