Excellent picture and sound quality ensures this will be a welcome release from the Canadian Thrashers, captured here during a hot and sweaty summer in the Czech Republic in 2008. A simultaneous CD and DVD package, Jeff Waters leads the band though a dynamic seventy minutes of Annihilator old and new, including trademark selections "Alison Hell", "Fun Palace" and "King of the Kill" and if you are unimpressed by their more mediocre recent efforts then the skip button will come in useful at times. Several line-up changes later Waters remains the sole founder member but is ably assisted on frontman duties by Dave Padden and a rhythm section of drummer Ryan Ahoff and Dave Sheldon on bass.
Annihilator have never been more than an unashamed, no-nonsense Thrash band and this is evidence that some twenty odd years on from their debut they can still deliver a solid live show to send the 30,000 Czech Metalheads home happy.
