Brazilian's are well known for their affection for heavy metal, and from Brazil has come many notable acts like the legendary thrash band Sepultura, technical power metal masters Angra, death metal legends Krisiun, and numerous other great heavy bands such as Hibria, Hangar, Almah and Tribuzy. Another impressive Brazilian band to join that countries metal ranks is Painside; their first CD is Dark World Burden.
Creating the alluring heavy metal of Painside are vocalist Guilherme Sevens, those crushing riffs are courtesy of guitarist's Carlos Saione and Daemon Ross, bass player Marcelo Val and drummer André Andrade complete the lineup. Chris Boltendahl [Grave Digger], Gus Monsanto [Revolution Renaissance, ex. Adagio] and Renato Tribuzy [Tribuzy] also contributed to Dark World Burden.
On Dark World Burden you will find metal numbers that detonate with powerful music and screaming vocals, starting with the appropriately titled "Ignite The Fire" as Painside do exactly that and more. My favorites include "Collapse The Lies" which has a very cool short drum and bass intro, and if you like myself really enjoy Halford's "Hell's last Survivor" then the very catchy "Sand Messiah" will also get your head banging. "Forsaken" is another heavy metal standout from this excellent new band; overall Dark World Burden has a great collection of desirable metal.
If you the relish the crushing music of say Halford, then Painside's impactful metal will be right up your alley.
