A new hard rock project to look out for is called Delaney, and their CD titled Blaze And Ashes. Blaze And Ashes is a concept release that takes place in London, based on the fantasy novel from popular German author Wolfgang Hohlbein, titled Chronicle of Immortals.
Delany features the voices of well known vocalist Lana Lane, David Readman (Adagio, Pink Cream 69 and Voodoo Circle) and Davy Vain (Vain, Songwriter/Producer). Instrument wise there are guitarist's Jamie Scott and Dano Boland, drummer Tommy Rickard, Volker Lesson on bass, and also making an appearance is keyboard master Erik Norlander, who can be heard on the track "Love Tears".
The vocals of David Readman are first up on Blaze And Ashes with "Blood And Ashes", Davy Vain follows on "Here Comes Lonely", and Lana Lane gets her turn to star on "Loves Tears", a lighter track than the previous two songs, that is until the upbeat chorus kicks in. Each artist certainly has their own style, making an interesting contrast between the various tracks. Delany's other members do a fine job providing the music, but the impressive vocals are the focal point of this release. Closing strongly with "London Bridge", a powerful vocal driven number from David Readman, Blaze And Ashes is a CD that has plenty to offer.
