A five piece out of Rhode Island, She Rides are a mix of hardcore, punk and rock and roll and this self-titled debut album is short and sweet at little more than thirty minutes with the vibe suggesting influences such as Danzig and Gallows. Fronted by ex Bury Your Dead singer Joe Krewko and with the focus on an up-tempo garage groove, She Rides is a rough and ready album with in-your-face production that will appeal to the punk / hardcore element and has a southern-rock swagger that supplies enough cross-over appeal to broaden the fan base. Discordant guitars, howling vocals and song titles such as "Party in The Piss Kitchen" and Sleeping With Zombies" tell their own story and it hurtles along at a breakneck pace.
An album of relentless energy from a band that are able to put their own stamp of spark and originality into an often derivative genre.
