Acid Drinkers first release was back in 1990, and The State Of Mind Report is a re-release of the long term Polish thrash metal band's seventh album, with three bonus live tracks from the Metalmania festival in 1996. The State Of Mind Report features some vibrant colorful artwork, especially for a thrash release. What's on this CD isn't as exciting, the "Wild Thing" cover is ordinary and comes across sounding tinny as hell, and live version of Metallica's classic "Seek and Destroy" is a song they pretty well destroy. "Pump The Plastic Heart" is a weird song title and chorus but the music is not bad, one of the few glimpses of promise on here.
The cover sticker states "The most spectacular thrash metal band in Poland" while I'm not going to touch on that claim, The State Of Mind Report is not an essential purchase by any means; it's one of those albums where the better parts are too overshadowed by the negatives.
