Eagle Twin: The Unkindness Of Crows

The Unkindness Of Crows is full of a dark and heavy experimantal doom/blues metal music, being a debut from the duo known as Eagle Twin from Salt Lake City. I assume Eagle Twin may have a fascination with birds, especially when you also see some of the song titles. So then does Eagle Twin's music take flight so to speak? Well not exactly given the lack of pace, this isn't nor is it intended to be speed metal, sure to blow the feathers off many.

Well played down tuned heavy and crunchy riffs encompass Eagle Twin's music, The Unkindness Of Crows has quite a bleak atmospheric feel about it. Credit to Eagle Twin for doing something different, they have crafted an interesting CD that many will probably snap up. I enjoy my share of doom metal, but The Unkindness Of Crows is not really the kind I seek out. I just found that with its sludge/drone style of music, The Unkindness Of Crows tended to drag on at times and lacked variety, but you be the judge.
