Deadwood Revival: Sat 730

Recorded live in pubs across Washington this is the third CD from Deadwood Revival. A four piece band they consist of Ches Ferguson (bass), Jason Mogi (banjo), Kim Trenerry (guitar) and Julie Campbell (fiddle) and play what is described as progressive old time Jamgrass - that's toe-tapping folksy bluegrass with a tendency to stretch out in true Jerry Garcia / Grateful Dead jam band tradition. They mix it up with a blend of vocal harmonies, extended instrumental workouts and just good time old fashioned tunes. I'm sure there is a huge appreciation for this kind of thing albeit possibly not amongst regular SoT readers hence I'm keeping it brief. But if country, folk, blues and 1960's psychadelia are your passion then Deadwood Revival come highly recommended.
