Katlow is a young female singer songwriter from Blackpool in the North West of England. The accent might be Coronation Street but the lyrics are intelligent, poignant and ironic all of which make them nothing less than charming. 'Gorgeous' is the up-tempo lead track on this three track EP and, all things being equal, is destined to make its way onto the airwaves during the summer months. Even more appealing is the acoustic strum of '57 Manchester Road' with its clever and insightful commentary and we can even forgive a name check for the excruciating Simon Cowell. With subject matter that will be close to home Katlow clearly possess an ability to make intelligent and thoughtful songs both simple and accessible and deliver them with conviction and honesty.
