Atumnal is the latest album from Spanish Epic Power Metal band Dark Moor. If you're familiar with their previous works then you'll know what to expect, if not then you are missing out, especially for those fond of the likes of Kamelot and Nightwish's music. Classical music and Metal unite, following on from their striking CD Tarot (One of 2007's finest), yet again Dark Moor delivers more fine potent Symphonic Melodic Metal, on this their seventh release.
Autumnal kicks off with "Swan Lake" a fitting grand symphonic track to commence their newest album, with the band and Orchestra in full swing, creating an immense sound. There are the bombastic numbers like "Phantom Queen", "Faustus" and "The Sphinx", then you have slower tracks like "An End So Cold" and "The Enchanted Forest" which are very catchy pieces."Fallen Leaves Waltz" closes the album in style, being a sweeping Orchestral instrumental. Alfred Romero is a wonderful vocalist, also worthy of mention is the splendid input from those other singers on Autumnal, being Itea Benedicto and the Imperial choir of Rivendel.
Dark Moor's newest is an album I've been greatly anticipating since it was announced, and after many listens Autumnal gets my tick of approval, it's certainly proof they know how to compose creative and captivating music.
