Out of North Carolina comes The Demonstration with a metal vengeance that threatens to reduce the Blue Ridge Mountains to useless rubble. Pounding you with a mega dose of high octane guitar bedlam thanks to the pair of Rob Gabriella and David Shoaf, they simply incinerate the immediate listening area with a masterful blend of six sting shredding and the captivating vocal display of Zachary Messick. While Zachary can take you from a throaty growl to very appealing clean style with a tip of the hat, it is his range and forceful delivery at whatever level that makes this disc a most enjoyable find.
When these guys want to get down into the dirty land of darkened metal, they do so with the proper amount of detuned riffage and snarling growling vocals. These guys are as much at home in the mosh pit as those watching them play, so much so that they have been known to invite the crowd up on stage to do a little headbanging along side the band. Songs like "Character Flaws" and the brutal "Pretty Bones" highlight this side of the band while they bring out their more melodic overtones in tunes like "The Marionette" and "A Very Calculating Snake" while still smashing you with bone crunching metal.
While many bands try this formula for success, what's missing from most is the secret ingredient, talent! These boys have that in abundance and it shows with this album that has a diversity and musical appeal that will gander many listeners from a broad range of genres. This band is a refreshing bit of metal and melody that will keep you coming back for more. It is a highly recommended addition to your collection!
