Simply put, (un)SAID is a band that will kick your ass! Creating a combination of crunching metal of the most heavy duty kind, mixed with a melodic clean side, these guys play ping pong with your brain for about 47 minutes before deciding that you have had enough of a good thing for a single dose. But these heavy metal dealers are street wise and know that the first taste is going to lead to a serious addiction which will cause great discomfort if stopped. Once hooked, (un)SAID will become a dependency that will grow and grow. Whether you are in need of the searing guitar work of Danny Lee or have acquired the Jeremy Hyson habit, thanks to his powerful clean vocals or thunderous screams, the end result is the same, you have become an (un)SAID junkie!
The greatest thing about The Initial Transition is that there are no weak spots at all. From the real heavy side you get songs like the opening tune "Adjacent to a Casualty" or the brutal "Departure". There is also a cool melodic style in songs like "Lost in Purity" or "Let You In". They even soften just a tad more with the power ballad like "Empty". No matter how the songs start and flow, you are just one scream away from the powerful metal that runs through the blood of this band. Each song on here has it's moments of mayhem which threatens to create all kinds of carnage while the melodic side tries to maintain the sanity. Its like being between the ultimate good cop/bad cop, just be prepared for a Rodney King type of beating with this dynamite release! They say that some things are better left unsaid. This is one case where things are left better thanks to Unsaid!
