Scarlet Sins: Scarlet Sins

Scorching heavy metal is their forte. Burning with the passion that only true rock and roll can create, this group takes a dynamite approach that not only gives you a chance to flash those heavy metal horns, they also show there is no reason that melodic music cannot have a home in this region too!

While songs like the album opener "Let Go", "Reborn" and "Own Truth" are as heavy as it gets, there is still a sense of melody that takes them to another level. Not being afraid to take a chance seems to be a fundamental belief of the band and it's that quality that will keep them ahead of the curve when it comes to the world of heavy metal.

Taken as a whole, Scarlet Sins creates a powerhouse of sonically pleasing music, period! Not to mention that the vocals are something that will amaze you. "Backstabber" shows a snarling growling vocal style that will have you thinking about that person who put the knife between your shoulder blades sometime in your life.

Then there are the dynamic, almost melancholy, vocals that greet you on the song "Broken". Showing a range and style that is tailor made for this type of music, one of the key ingredients is firmly in place.

Behind every good singer there has to be a band that can create a soundscape that defines the group. Scarlet Sins with its searing guitar and terrific rhythm section are the kind of group that constantly amaze with their prowess. A really cool bass and drum intro to the song "Are You Worth It" leads to the scorching guitar that is the backbone of the band.

They have shared the stage with the likes of Buckcherry and were even hand picked by Motley Crue to open for then at the Sarnia Bayfest in Sarnia, Ontario. There is no doubt that they know how to rock. If you like your metal heavy, this is a band you will fall in love with. If you like your metal with a little bit of style and some terrific harmonies and melodies, this is a band you will love. No matter how you look at it, once you become a "Sinner" you are hooked!

Oh I almost forgot to mention. The four girls that make up this band are:

Sylvya Nuvynska – vocalist with the golden voice
Cristina Bishop – I wish she could give me a guitar lesson or two!
Tanya Nicklaus – She does some amazing work on the bass
Elie Bertrand – As dynamic behind the skins as anyone

This band knows how to rock!!
