"Rock and roll is the devil's music"... no, this isn't a Rob Zombie album, but the words uttered on Hard Rocking band Chrome Division's latest and second release Booze,Broads, And Beelzebub. Doomsday, Rock 'N Roll being their first CD, released in 2006 and receiving praising reviews.
Booze, Broads, And Beelzebub is full of rebellious song titles like "Wine Of Sin", "Bad Broad(Good Girl Gone Bad)" and "Hate This Town". You can hear the AC/DC and Motorhead influences, plus ZZ Top with a fine cover of the popular "Sharp Dressed Man". Eddie Guz's edgy vocals remind me of those from "Peavey" Wagner singer/bass player with Rage. The customary short, but heavy in this case, instrumental "The Second Coming" opens the album, title track "Booze,Broads, And Beelzebub", an up-tempo rocker, is next. One of the albums stronger tracks "Wine Of Sin" starts out with a riff that could easily be on the next AC/DC release, and I like the solo section on this also. The album has its fair share of other hard rockers such as "Doomsday Riders", "Life Of A Fighter" and the cool groover "Let's Hear It".
Booze,Broads, And Beelzebub is a fun CD especially if you like your music to rock hard, so look out for Chrome Division.
