The Stript: The Stript

The bastard child of Aerosmith and Motley Crue, The Stript plays sleazy, old-school hard rock with a nasty dose of hair and glam metal. Formed by Las Vegas brothers Mike (vocals) and Bryan (drums) Lorenzo, The Stript went through several members who did not quite grasp the band's vision – which, very clearly, is to follow in the footsteps of Buckcherry and Velvet Revolver to prove that good-time, party-hearty, who-cares-if-it-doesn't-make-sense rock 'n' roll will never die. The band's self-titled EP dishes out plenty of attitude (if not a whole lot of variety), and demonstrates that making music like this is still serious business. Just check out Mike's Steven Tyler-like yowl that opens the album's first track, "Come Undone."

Note: In May, the Stript were stripped of their touring van and gear – valued, the band says, at "more money than our entire lives combined are worth." So show 'em a little love.
