Eftus Spectun: The Talons Snag Binary

A single 15 minute track of experimental music from this Bristol UK duo consisting mainly of intermittent semitonal guitar chords at angles to cymbal clashes and occasional bass drum swats. No melody or specific rhythm involved although it does seem there is a certain mathematical symmetry about it as if they were trying to write music for prime number progressions, the Euclidean plane or some such esoteric concept. Vocals make a brief murmuring appearance in the quieter middle section but there is very little development otherwise as it returns to where it started with the juxtaposed chord, drum punch and cymbal arrangement. Despite the promo saying it had been "39 months in the making" I can't say I found the whole thing interesting enough after 3 listens to want to hear it again.
