From France comes the melodic death metal band Tank, and this is their debut 3 song demo EP. In reality, it's a 2 song demo, as the first track is basically a throwaway intro, but the remaining tunes are actually very good, Gothenburg styled death metal in the style of early Soilwork, In Flames, At the Gates, and Dark Tranquility, with a little Children of Bodom influence thrown in for good measure. "Tank" is a fun piece, littered with tasty harmony guitar work and beefy riffs, while "Brother in Arms" is the more brutal of the two, featuring a mix of growls and screams from vocalist Raf, plenty of melodic riffing and manic drum blasts. Judging by these two tracks, it seems as if Tank has a solid foundation going, so let's see if they can get more material together and take this to the next level.
