Zepubicle: Scientists Levitate Small Animals

If you've got, let's say, 38 extra minutes of your life to waste and feel like having your ears pushed and pulled, pulled and pushed and examined by this "arty" collective (mostly) from Georgia, then go to town. Over the course of five multiple-minute tunes (nothing's merciful or short here), the collective brings down music with swirly, noisy noise that would probably push John Cage's patience beyond tolerable. The best part of this record was, frankly, pull it out of the packaging and dusting all the crap that had collected on it as it made its way through the mail. Listening to it? Well, we wouldn't want to do anything enjoyable now would we?

My Score:

I have to say that I disagree!

This CD's one of the best free improv recordings that I own. If this site is supposedly for the "intellectuals" out there, then I would think this review should be re-approached after living with this CD a bit.

Did you just listen once? Do you expect any "progressive" music to be superficial enough for you to not allow a blossoming period. Just curious . . . because this review strikes me as a bit cursory and even unfair.

I think that all reviewers and critics should try harder. This includes you, too, Jedd.

Listen again and re-post.

My Score:

hey, thanks for the shitty review of our record. your narrow minded comments and snide remarks were very helpful in describing the music. why review music outside your limited scope of understanding and comprehension at all? i find music "critics" like yourself "jedd" to be nothing more than cowards. you do not challenge yourself at all to really listen to any music which might make you question your fucked cliches. you would never say this kind of shit to my face if confronted with the question "well, what did you think of the c.d."? Instead you hide behind your keyboard and fake name poking fun at music which you have little familiarity with. I personally invite you to show up at one of our shows and say this rude, childish shit to me and my bandmates. Show me how tough and "metal" you are....
