Lord Belial: Revelation – The Seventh Seal

No strangers to the melodic Black Metal scene, Sweden's Lord Belial return with their 7th full length release entitled Revelation –The Seventh Seal. This is a seasoned band that has used their experience to their advantage and this crosses over into the music. Raspy lead vocals, pile driving rhythms and finely executed, melodic lead guitar work are all delivered in great abundance on The Seventh Seal, however is that enough to satiate the average Black Metal fan? The main bone of contention here is that there doesn't appear to be much to differentiate Lord Belial from being just another face in what is already an overcrowded scene. While tracks like "Black Wings of Death" and "Death as Solution" clearly highlight where the bands strong points lie, in the end there just aren't enough killer tracks on Revelation which really leave any kind of a lasting imprint .
