Baroness/Unpersons: A Grey Sigh In A Flower Husk

Put the boogie in your blackened heart with Baroness (responsible for cuts the first and the second here) and Unpersons (responsible for all others). While it's hard to say that what Baroness does on "Teiresias" has never been done before, one has to believe it. Southern fried and deep-fried in the (again) boogie, the little sucker moves around with plenty of power and might. Same goes for the 12-minute epic "Cavite."

Baroness, on the other hand, gets up to more familiar noise that never feels quite as interesting and tries, too often, to distinguish itself from the hordes. Still, "Black Finnegan" and "Dry Hand" are a'wight. Give both of these acts a little more time to figure out what the hell's going on and they might, someday, be dangerous.
