Skinless aren't kidding around one bit on their recent release Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead, a smoldering, brutal, and technical assualt of extreme metal that will either be pure bliss to your eardrums or enough to have you running and screaming for cover. The angry statement from The Planet of the Apes film that kicks things off sets the tempo for the brutality and inhuman sounds to follow-rest assured, this is technical and grinding death metal from start to finish. The monolithic grunts and growls from Jason Keyser perfectly work alongside the savage & tumultuous riffing from Noah Carpenter and the "faster then the speed of light" drum blast courtesy of Bob Beaulac on crushing songs like "A Unilateral Disgust" and "Deviation Will Not Be Tolerated". This is intense music that easily pummels you senseless yet fulfills your need to technicality. Fans of Deicide or Cannibal Corpse will enjoy the relentless attack of the title track and the bludgeoning frenzy of "Endvisioned", the latter featuring plenty of grisly growls from Keyser. And if you ever wondered how Black Sabbath's "Wicked World" would sound covered by a death metal act, be sure to check out Skinless' version here, which is very interesting to say the least. Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead is a mind-numbing, brutal experience that you won't soon forget, brought to you by the folks at Relapse Records who certainly know a little something about extreme music.
