Music has always been an integral presence in 21 year old multi instrumentalist Tim Myers' life. He is a classically trained pianist who's had his fair share of bands in addition to doing studio work and writting with such artists as Natalie Imbruglia and Gwen Stefani. However it's his bold and heartfelt debut solo EP entitled Revolution which is going to have people talking about this fantastic, new talent. Although you could compare Myers' voice at times to Chris Martin's, the music definitely has a Coldplay vibe running through most of the songs. The lyrics call for the need to make positive changes in the turbulent times in which we live and the depth and maturity in his words are what's really impressive here, certainly for someone of 21. The production and arrangements are top notch and the songs themselves are absolutely compelling, so much so that I often found the melodies still buzzing around in my brain long after the CD had finished. Tim Myers is certainly going to be an artist to watch out for in the future and while Revolution is certainly a very impressive opening statement, I'm almost certain the best songs to come from Myers are the ones he hasn't written yet.
