Dodsferd is the black metal creation of one man, Wrath who is based in Greece and Fucking Your Creation is his 2nd full length release. Although he takes his musical inspiration from traditional Norwegian black metal, Wrath infuses his own style of lo-fi, nihilistic devastation into the tracks presented here and the results make for one hell of a chaotic sound track. What is surprising is that over the course of the 4 songs proper and almost forty minutes of mayhem is that quite often these longer pieces of music actually have a sense of melody, something typically absent in the genre. Classic sound clips of actor Vincent Price are interspersed throughout and are used to either introduce or close a track and this adds to the whole black atmosphere permeating the music. Wrath's high pitched screams and death gurgles soar over the searing buzz saw guitar work as he rips out dense layers of sound. As far as the black metal underground goes, Fucking Your Creation is a filthy and brilliant reminder that avoiding the masses and carving out your own dark path is always the best way to go in the end.
