Prior to releasing their 6th full length album, Si Partie II – L'Homme Idéal, Nemo preceded it with this 3 song maxi CD which featured a forthcoming album track called "Les Enfants Rois", a cover of Ozzy's "Diary of a Madman" and an unreleased instrumental called "Touché Couché". "Les Enfants Rois" is a decent track taken off of the full length release but not one of the true muscial gems. The Ozzy cover is an interesting one but I'm not entirely sure it works. The band approaches it from a progressive angle and puts more of a symphonic spin on it. I wouldn't call it a complete failure and I give them credit for putting their own stamp on it however I don't think Ozzy's got anything to worry about either. The last track "Touché Couché" is more of a rawer, up tempo number for Nemo and one which finds the band in a looser, more jam orientated mood. Guitarist Pierre Louveton rips off a few nice, short solos and keyboardist Guillaume Fontaine displays hints of Tony Banks with his crisp sounding playing. This is not what I'd call an essential purchase but Nemo fans will probably still want to add it to their collections. My advice? Save you money for Si Partie II – L'Homme Idéal.
