Bill Bulinski's album is well titled because it contains nothing but
unpretentious and pure acoustic guitar work. It's relatively simple, elegant
Celtic-inspired music.
With 20 tracks in 43 minutes it's clearly song-oriented - and the condensed
nature of the music prevents it from being boring. The pacing is just right for
Bare Naked Guitar to hold your interest. It's the folksy, romantic,
relaxing type of music that you could listen to closely, or play repeatedly in
the background. There's nothing progressive, pretentious or particularly
ambitious about this record - it's just one man softly playing his
steel-stringed guitar - and he does it very well.
