Live set recorded in 2000 from one of Poland's most extreme metal bands, Yattering. Live Extermination contains some pretty intense sounds, from the intricate and pummeling guitar riffs of Mtody and Hudy, the relentless rhythms from drummer Zabek, and the inhuman growls from bassist/singer Swierszcz. The band rampages through twelve tracks of insane madness, so if you thought bands like Cephalic Carnage, Cryptopsy, and Cattle Decapitation were off the charts, you haven't heard anything yet. These guys play at blinding speeds, rendering songs like "Unnortmally Zone" and "Dittohead" to mere blurs of chaotic noise. The guitar bash, churn, and rampage, the drums come at you from all angles, and the assortment of vocal grunts and growls, while fitting this style of music, are impossible to understand. With most songs in the 2-4 minute range, the album goes by pretty quick, yet after a while the songs all tend to sound alike. When the band throws in some Slayer-like guitar solos it breaks up the tempo a bit so it's not just one blinding riff after another. When Yattering slows down for some brutal dirges like they do in the middle section of "Lost Within", it's a nice change from all the fast breaks that are commonplace throughout the rest of the album.
So if brutal death metal performed at breakneck speeds is your thing, check out this latest live album from Poland's Yattering. This stuff is so extreme it makes fellow countrymen Behemoth and Decapitated look like classic rockers, and that's saying something.
