Ektomorf: Vivid Black

Vivid Black by the Hungarian act Ektomorf is a painfully difficult listening experience for me, so I’ll keep this review succinct.

This album is the love child of a ménage à trois between Slipknot, Machine Head, and Korn. A steaming pile of ‘meat-head metal’ that throwback to a time and style that simply never resonated with me. The proverbial ‘cherry on top’ is the excessive use of expletives and overly angst-ridden lyrics which are so over the top that it verges on unintended comic relief.

Enough said.
