Locust, The: Safety Second, Body Last (EP)

The press I've read about this SoCal group (accolades, mainly) I find amusing. No, nothing clever here. Yes, the members wear costumes (just masks, it appears) onstage. (Residents, Invisible Sex, anyone?)

Moderation, subtlety, finesse things music ought to have, The Locust lacks. So what if they have analog synths? Other "extreme" or "hardcore" bands have or had 'em, too.

Noise. Just a bunch of noise. It doesn't take a whole lot of talent to do this sort of stuff. I can imagine droves of "angst-ridden," whiny trust fund teens eating this crud up.
