Dreamtide: Drama Dust Dream

A refreshing, unique album that should delight fans of hard rock/prog/metal and power-metal alike. So often you see and hear bands with uninspired generic filler for a majority of their albums or catalog, not with Dreamtide.

Their fourth outing, packs in track after track of melodic, epic and heavy songs that captivate and revitalize modern rock sounds.

With the addition of Lars Lehmann on bass and Horst Guntram Schlag on drums, you have a total beast of a band backed by gleaming vocalist Olaf Senbelki.

Nearly every song, with the exception of softer ballad-esque or acoustic type tracks (which at times hinder the albums flow and progression) is something to be proud of as a group and artist, especially in this genre.

Personally, the album peaks with track #9- a thorough emotional track with one of the best guitar solo sections i have heard from a modern group in a long time.

The softer acoustic tracks as I stated earlier, do seem to hinder the flow of the album but not nearly enough to derail it. From vocal melodies, thunderous drums, driving and ripping guitars to splendid bass lines this album is a must for lovers of modern prog/metal and hard rock. Looking forward to enjoying this album and group in the years to come.
