Tristan Harders' Twilight Theatre: Drifting into Insanity

Cleverly formatted creations from the Terra Atlantica and Forsaken Hill member Tristan Harders rise up graciously for the release of the first ever solo record from the man himself into the eyes of the stratosphere with a splendidly opus friendly outing that uplifts those with frowning faces right from the pits of the ground to neatly alter this sense to take a sudden change of direction consisting of a believers expression and a glorifying honor; whilst escorting an essence of pure confidence of brilliance in the arms of a unifying Power Metal odyssey and a mighty wave that consists of a melodically arranged effort to raise those fists up right up in the air.

Harders on the other hand, takes over all duties on his ambitiously directed debut record and yes, that most definitely includes guitars, vocals, keys and drum programming to say the least. Is that impressive one might say? - yes, it indeedly is and this is not by any means a below par output in any shape or form. As a first effort delivery this is a magnificent piece of work and this is one that Power Metal fans should get entirely seduced by with nearly every single episode that is on offer winning them over throughout the near fifty-minute duration of Drifting into Insanity.

So, is this cheesy? - yes. Is this a good thing? - hell yes! Significantly, this adds to the surrounding atmosphere of the record that is quite nicely layered with melodious passages that inside boils up the supreme elegance of tracks like the joyously adventure indulgent anthem sword raiser of 'Quest into the Mountains of Steel', the dynamically rifftastic early day Edguy sounding 'Open the Gates' and the fantastically synthesized infused statements made in the fundamental grasps of the superior throne claimer 'Halls of Glory'.

Further honorable mentions come forth in the constructive formulaic double bass compartments that breathe those aspects of triumph in the vein of similar outfits like Dragony, Avantasia, Twilight Force, Heavenly and Celesty to purely win over audiences with little effort for the greater good and for the shields of those brothers of the past. These arrive as an epic sense of brilliance tied into the wondrously gifted charms that fires the ultimate boiling pot to conjure up sorcerers on 'Save Me from Insanity', alongside the incredible ironic hero calling opener of 'The End' and the speeding brutality of the wicked majesty enlightenment dwelling inside the awesomeness of 'Rise Against Tyranny'.

There is so much to take in and endure here within the solid walls of Tristan's debut benefaction and I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the material that has been presented by this ambitiously produced one man project. If you are fanatic of a melodically formed product that speaks, lives and breathes the fires of Heavy Metal or even the hair-raising goosebumps that stand on your neck when you listen to Power Metal, then my friends this is definitely one for you and evidently, it would eventually become a regret to miss out on this appearing as a strong effort lingering inside this particular genre of music mastery and extravagance.
