Third Stage: Live Over London is the latest live release from prog/pop/rock supergroup Flying Colors, the band comprised of Steve Morse, Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy, Dave LaRue, and Casey McPherson. With three studio albums under their belt, the 2nd & 3rd both containing 'second' and 'third' in the title, they've also now released three live albums, again, following a similar pattern with the live album titles. This particular concert was recorded in London at the Shepherds Bush Empire on December 14, 2019. Filled with selections from all three studio albums, this set includes not only some of their hook laden, more rock based numbers, but also some of the lengthier tracks that sees the band moving into prog territory. Memorable tunes such as "A Place In Your World", "The Storm", "You Are Not Alone", "Blue Ocean", and "Mask Machine" sit so well besides more adventurous pieces like "Crawl", "Infinite Fire", "Cosmic Symphony", and the enchanting "Peaceful Harbor", the latter might just be the ultimate version of this hauntingly beautiful song, complete with fantastic vocals from Casey and a lovely Steve Morse guitar solo. The audio and visuals throughout either the CD or the DVD are outstanding, and if you are watching the DVD you'll feel right at home in the intimate setting of the Shepherds Bush Empire.
