Fatal Curse is one of those bands that gets your attention right from the start. It helps that the band has an unabashed love for early speed metal that they want to share with the world. Here’s a band with no need to thump their chests or to prove just how authentic they are. They don’t have time for that nonsense; instead, they just play with a healthy blend of the sounds and styles of bands like Jag Panzer, Tokyo Blade, Thin Lizzy, and Liege Lord. The result is a nice blend of nostalgia, fun, and electricity. There’s nothing particularly new here, but you’ll probably find yourself jamming along to songs like “Breaking the Trance” and “Can’t Stop the Thunder.”
