Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Phil Vincent has a massive discography with over fifteen albums to his credit and has been involved in a number of projects over the years including D’Ercole, his partnership with guitarist Damian D’Ercole. There are a few guests as well including B.F. D’Ercole (drums) and guitarists; Paul Sabu, Vince O’Regan and David Zychek who has unfortunately passed away (RIP). Their latest release is titled Made To Burn and is the first I have heard of this project.
If you enjoy melodic hard rock and AOR with strong lead vocals there should be a lot to love here. The first track “Time To Walk Away” hits you in the face immediately with its heavy guitar riffs and neoclassical shredding. On the AOR ballad “Out Of Time” it’s all about melodicism with its tasty blend of acoustic and electric guitar. The harmonizing vocals are incredibly catchy. More melodic riff rockers include “Feel The Burn” and “Mistreated”, channeling what’s best about the ‘80s. The melodies stand out throughout the album making Made To Burn a fun and pleasant listening experience.
