Sticky Fingers Ltd., The: Point of View

With a name like The Sticky Fingers Ltd., it’s no surprise this Italian quartet began as a power trio focused on Seventies-era blues rock heavily influenced by the Rolling Stones (who released Sticky Fingers in 1971), Faces, Humble Pie and Cream. But Point of View, the second album from The Sticky Fingers Ltd., shows the band (now a quartet featuring guys with names like Jaypee and Flash) progressing toward a more universal hard rock sound that better aligns with the likes of Cheap Trick - especially on more melodic songs like “Hope You Like It” and “Be Your Man.” If you like catchy but not particularly memorable classic rock with a touch of blues, Point of View is worth seeking out.

Of course, all this defies the impression given by the cover image of a woman holding large two candles and looking at her mirrored reflection in black-metal face paint.
