Lugnet’s second album sees new singer Johan Fahlbergs (Jaded Heart) take over behind the microphone fitting in alongside a rhythm section consisting of bass player Lennart "Z" Zethzon (Badge) and drummer Fredrik Jansson (Angel Witch, ex Witchcraft). New guitar player Matti Norlin adds (Badge and solo artist) rounds out the band with other guitars supplied by Marcus "Mackan" Holten.
It’s decidedly interesting to hear Fahlbergs inside the confines of Lugnet’s 70’s grooves. Just listening to the album all the way through made me think that if The Devils’ Rejects were to make a record, it would sound like Nightwalker and I mean that as a recommendation. Would sir care for mountainous riffs? Yes? Then step right in. Is sir partial to a bit of Black Sabbath? Enter this way. Sir must love Deep Purple? Take a seat up front.
With only eight tracks and a running time just north of forty minute Lugnet have produced (actually the production is a bit muddy and lets the side down slightly) a shit-kickin’, 70’s inflected platter which is a bit ahead of the packed field because of the efforts of the two guitar players and some pretty well crafted tunes.
