Perfect Plan: All Rise

This is a bit of a turn up for the books. I had virtually no hopes for this new one from the quite newish band from Örnsköldsvik, Sweden which is on the Frontiers Music Srl label. Frontiers haven’t got the greatest track record in developing new acts and their careers but Perfect Plan seem to have a better chance than most I’d wager. This is mainly due to the plethora of excellent songs on the album. From the moment "Bad City Woman" gets into its stride until the end of "Heaven in Your Eyes" there’s scarcely a dip in quality. All forms of melodic rock are represented within the compressed mp3s which I had for review purposes, Arrival-era Journey at the start, which is a big compliment, something heavier in "Gone Too Far" and vocals from Kent Hilli which have a touch of Joey Tempest about them. Whisper it, hut Frontiers may have a new act who could possibly really catch on!
