Power Trip’s made a big splash with Nightmare Logic, an album that was featured both in the mainstream and the underground. I first heard about them from a friend who happened to hear about it on a radio program. When I began listening to the band, I understood what all the fuss was about. Power Trip is a solid thrash metal band with a bright future.
This release gathers previously released materials that fans may not have sought out (or even known where to look). They have all been remastered by Arthur Rizk, the band’s longtime producer, and each of them sounds great. The songs are all strong thrash metal / crossover numbers with few surprises. I doubt any fan of this stsyle will be disappointed. Power Trip is a terrific band. I liked “Brainwave,” “Hammer of Doubt,” and “The Evil Beat” the most.
