Black Paisley: Late Bloomer
Swedish classic rockers Black Paisley proudly wear their influences on their sleeves and old school fans of late 60's Zeppelin and early 70's Purple will surely find much to embrace about Late Bloomer. This is a real mix of blues, classic rock, AOR and a hint of Southern rock that evidences their versatility and a willingness to not be pigeonholed into a certain style. And with the requisite catchy melodies, harmony vocals, strong use of keyboards and modern production (that still gives a vintage vibe) they are clearly a talented bunch of musicians and songwriters.
Stefan Blomqvist (vocals, guitar), Jan Emanuelsson (bass), Robert Karaszi (drums), and Robert Wirensjo (keyboards) created Black Paisley, named after Ritchie Sambora's signature Fender guitar due to a desire to make their own music after having racked up a number of years gigging in cover bands. With the likes of atmospheric ballad 'Easy', melodic AOR of 'Autum' and the Southern rock inspired 'It Ain't Over' stand out moments they most certainly have plenty to offer and are late bloomers indeed!
