The best thing about Cannabis Corpse is the way they've maintained a sense of humor while creating some of the best death metal out there. That's an understatement, I know, but it's still cool to think about how well this band transitioned from a parody act into a powerhouse in their own right. I like them better than Cannibal Corpse and the pot-themed humor is sometimes as creative as it is punny. Fans can probably track which bands are getting parodied from track to track based on the titles, so I'll leave that to them. I know Nile is the one getting it on track 9 (and maybe 10) but other than that, I'm not sure.
As for the music? It's awesome. I've always come to Cannabis Corpse albums for the guitars and this album never disappoints. The riffs and the solos are simply exhilarating. Check out "In Battle There is No Pot," "Papyrus Containing…," and "Chronic Breed."
