Sakset: Lahja

This band brings together the talents of sound artists Läjä Äijälä, Jussi Lehtisalo, and Tomi Leppänen who came together to create a series of avant-electro sounds and moods. The music here is strange, chaotic, catchy, and uncanny. Some of the music here may bring to mind work by Kraftwerk and Rancid Hell Spawn. I found the music oddly catchy; the beats were engaging, even though the music was pushing beyond something that can be captured with conventional beats. Strange to say, the music here reminded me of something you'd hear in a small club very late at night. The emotions are mysterious, vibrant, and slightly weird. For those interested in electronic music with an avant-garde edge to it, this may be just the thing you're looking for. I liked the newest album by Survive better but that's because I tend to prefer electronic music that's a little more conventional.
