Snaggletooth-A Tribute to Lemmy is what you'd call a 'true' tribute to the fallen heavy metal icon, and rather than just a random collection of Motorhead covers, this is a lovingly put together set that also features the man himself on a few tracks. For the covers, there are some good ones, like Overkill's blistering rendition of, well, "Overkill", Onslaught's rampaging "Bomber", a killer "We Are the Road Crew" from German thrash titans Desruction, the pairing of Ugly Kid Joe and Motorhead's own Phil Campbell on "Ace of Spades", a raging "Burner" from Perzonal War, and Korpiklaani's energetic folk metal take on "Iron Fist". Lemmy's Hawkwind days are not ignored, as we have Monster Magnet's glorious rendition of "Brainstorm", the classic track from the 1972 album Doremi Fasol Latido, and a cool Hawkwind inspired tune "Location 9" from Swedish space rock band Black Explosion.
Lemmy himself shows up on the cover of Queen's classic hard rock tune "Tie Your Mother Down", the duet with Doro "Love Me Forever", and "Rock City Night" alongside Richard Kruspe from Rammstein. With a blend of new, previously released and rare material, Snaggletooth-A Tribute to Lemmy is indeed, a tribute to a metal legend worth your attention.
