Embalmer: Emanations from the Crypt

Embalmer wanted this album—the band's second full-length release—to be as brutal and as disgusting as possible. Even though the band has released some strong work over the years, the first full-length album didn't fully represent the band's overall sound and style. With this release, however, Embalmer easily makes up for past missteps. The music on this album is nothing short of brutal and disgusting death metal from start to finish. The music is relentless, an energetic and crazy buzzing of notes and beats that are both exhausting and exciting. The vocals, little more than gurgling, guttural, growls, are strong and dark. Fans of Embalmer will definitely want to check out this release. Fans of brutal death metal should also find this album strong. Check out "The Coroner's Report" and "They Can Smell Our Blood."
