When I think of Greek metal groups the supercharged melodic band Firewind is the first that comes to mind, and of course there are many others such as Wardrum who's songs also pack a substantial punch and are impressive on the guitar front. Wardrum now have four albums since releasing their debut Spadework in 2011 having formed just prior to that in 2010. So Wardrun sure aren't holding out in the release department, and that latest Wardrum album is titled Awakening. Wardrum's material is so catchy with an impressive vocalist who sure has it covered, this capable group are presenting an agile brew of heavy/power metal on Awakening. This one for those whom enjoy Firewind and the like with spirited metal tracks like the ballsy opener "The Unrepentant" and there's so much more as Wardrum really keep you entertained throughout, and they close out the album so impressively with "The Awakening". Wardum's Awakening is another metal album to be on the look out for.
