It is precisely that, but it's even more obsessive and restless than the average sleepless night. This is the music of an anxious mind, the kind that never lets anything go. Even though the music is often calmer than you might expect, it is rarely without a relentless and discomforting edge that seems to lurk constantly beneath every note, every sound. If you've ever been haunted by a recurring image—or worse, painful intrusive thoughts—this album speaks directly to those.
I was intrigued by tracks like "CNN WTZ" and "43," but I found the album's overall mood more off putting than inviting. Fans of Kelly and Parker will obviously want to check this one out but it isn't for the casual listener.
