The Italians: Live at Teatro delle Voci

Live at Teatro delle Voci is a four track EP recorded live in the studio in April of this year by guitarist/vocalist William Knight, bass player Alberto Rigoni and drummer Alessandro Miazzi. It is these talented musicians who form the BRITALIAN pop rock trio called The Italians. The Italians have taken four songs from their prior release Oh Boys What Have You Done? and present them here as they were recorded without any alterations. Their influences include David Bowie, Beatles and The Pixies, the group was founded by William Knight in 2009, and their style has changed since being less focused on that British influence while that still forms part of their sound.

Both sound and performance wise Live at Teatro delle Voci is a very likeable release with the vibrant rocker "Hard To Get By" and the groovy "The Strangled Priest" being my picks for standout tracks. I have experienced Alberto Rigoni's playing on other releases and that bass work here is excellent once again, and his band mates sure do impress also leaving you with a most positive impression.
